Understandable and relatable. My therapist told me "remember that I'm a professional providing you a service. If I can improve my service, I should know about it." It can feel like we're going to hurt their feelings, but as paying customers, we should have a say in our treatment. but i totes get it.

Not to tell you how to do therapy, but would she be receptive to feedback? Mine always tells me a good therapist will hear if something they're doing is unhelpful. Could you tell her that you're not finding the idea of exposure helpful, but distressing/you don't feel like she's hearing you?
