USGS now estimates that the damage in Myanmar will likely exceed the entire GDP of the country. They need a lot of help. Thailand estimates that the death toll between both countries will exceed 20,000. All of Bangkok is now a disaster area, as is all of Myanmar. We're all staying home! 🫣

#Thailand just hit by a very large (7.7) #earthquake at 1.26pm local time, origin Myanmar. Felt right across the country. Water in high-rise hotel pools sloshing down buildings, and the big Mahanakorn building downtown (if you know it) seen swaying back and forth. Too early for damage reports.
