Credit to Jover but so many media pieces underestimating how much of it is execution. Other coaches could copy our set up, but you need perfect corner takers (Rice and Saka) and a team of hungry giants in the box.

Rice's corner taking yesterday was obscenely good. Perfection with every delivery.

I've always been in favour of this. Leave the challenges to managers and captains. Two challenges per half, if successful you keep them.

No need for video room, ref is reviewing his own decision, no pressure from colleagues.

Will remove endless moaning from teams when they can use a challenge.

Trials of Football Video Support (FVS), a VAR alternative which gives managers the chance to make two ‘coach’s challenges’ in a game, have been expanded by IFAB.

Despite the hammering, I thought Gyokeres was actually very good. Created some chances out of nothing. Led the line with strength despite little support during a poor team performance, and was up against one of the best CB pairings in the world.

He looked dangerous, I'd take him.

This is a little disingenuous because it's clearly also a way for Dean to transition to live action filmmaking in a low risk way.

He's only ever worked in the animation sphere, and Universal are giving him a shot at a giant live action blockbuster.
#HowToTrainYourDragon director Dean Deblois was asked why he remade his film in live-action 🐲

"[It] was the studio's desire. And if they were going to do it, I wanted to make sure it was done right"

Woh. What happened to Bluesky friendliness?!

Replied with this innocuous comment on a scene from No Hard Feelings and got a "Don't care!" and blocked 🤣 wow.
Great scene, but I really did not like this movie.

#ThePenguin is a truly excellent show. Great performances, fantastic plotting and story, great depth to characters, perfect world building, top cinematography.

That's how you do a spin off show.

It's also built in a way that The Batman 2 will work fine without seeing it, but it adds layers.

My hot take in film this year:

James McAvoy deserves awards noms for Speak No Evil, but awards hate Horror.

All these people moaning about making original movies are the same ones that only go to the cinema once or twice a year... For sequels and franchises.
From animation to live-action, Hiccup and Toothless in ‘HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON’

In theaters on June 13, 2025.

As expected, it's well above Napoleon in the same markets (+80%), but a little off Dune 2.

A solid result, but the cost of this movie means it's making a BIG loss. This will be a disappointment for Paramount given the IP and legacy of the original.

Likely to be further hindered by Wicked.
#Gladiator2 opens to $87M at the international box office 💰

• Biggest overseas start for a Ridley Scott film
• Net budget was ~$210M

This seems unlikely, but I'm not a fan in any case.

His Monaco glory days are long behind him, and his work at PSG has been flawed at best.

This was always going to be a flop. Too action heavy for kids, too silly for adults, too dark for the Christmas theme. Reminds me of RIPD.

Internationally it's performing 75% below the Jumanji films right now.

Huge failure for WB. Tough year for them.
‘RED ONE’ opens with $34M domestically.

Budget was $250M.

Slightly concerning for Liverpool considering who they've faced & still have to play.

Arsenal position shows we've got what we "deserve" in our games, which isn't necessarily good news considering the dropped points so far.

Spurs position shows the danger of Angeball if you don't convert chances.
Premier League points earned compared to expected points. Red is underperforming, blue is overperforming.

Liverpool are the biggest overperformers right now. Crystal Palance the biggest underperformers

He'd be the dream Arsenal signing.

This man is an absolute machine. What a player.

I remember wanting him when he went to Spurs and being so angry we didn't go for him.

Absolute legend of the game.
Luka Modric has made more tackles and interceptions combined (25) than any other player in League A of the UEFA Nations League. 💪
