Very much agree. We don't express liberal arts as versatile, career possibilities beyond academia, nor how essential they are to having careers in other fields. One element we need to push is dual majority in a liberal arts degree and a STEM or related, and development projects for such imo

As someone raised in Texas, I cannot fully describe how ingrained hero worship of the Alamo is, especially in San Antonio.
It's changing to a more nuanced view, thankfully, though I suspect we may regress soon.
