Was just texting with a former AUSA. Their thoughts: The two main problems for most DOJ lawyers are (1) cognitive dissonance working for this lawless Administration, and (2) the knowledge that at any moment they might be asked to do something they couldn’t ethically do, necessitating resignation.

Just thinking out loud here as a lawyer… should some of us apply to bring more sanity and lawfulness to DOJ? Or would it be a lost cause because we’d be fired before we could do anything productive?
