Some experiment with widening stops in choppy environments. For me, if my usual tight stops are not working (due to chop) then I simply trade less. Everyone is different. Follow through IS the environment for me; when it's not there there's no reason to force it.

I see traders dismiss all things "mindset" as useless, then proceed to search for the perfect set of rules. Some get stuck there for years.

If you're a trend trader you want to exploit a strong trending market. Take advantage of the supportive action near key SMA's. You can anticipate bounces on pullbacks; hold open positions into those pullbacks and / or add. That's when your strategy shines.

Many traders tackle charts / setups and general 'mechanics' relatively quickly. What takes MUCH longer to come to terms with is what goes on between your ears. And that is where you are truly unique. It's a never-ending process. It's also where you can make the most progress.

One of the absolute MOST difficult things to do in trading is hold onto an open position, PARTICULARLY if it has moved a long way.
