War in spreading across the globe, fascism rising all over, an unpredictable global economy. Where is safe? And how many are able to go? When thinking of this I always think of the images from WW2 of ships filled with immigrants arriving in North America being turned away by US and Canadian gov’ts.

A trick was performed by a stage magician by the name of Lionel Shrike, he had a volunteer sign his name on a playing card. He then supposedly transported that card into a tree. When they cut the tree down, they found the autographed playing card, encased in glass, nestled in the heart of the trunk.

I think he’s trying to reference the gilded age. Which would be one of the other times in our history with similar wealth inequality. So if that’s the case probably one of his more accurate rhetorics.

Deporting refugees and refugee applicants to gain favor from a dictator. Sounds pretty much what I would expect. Also a violation of the UN high commissioner of refugees.

They claimed invasion, for LA. That doesn’t sound like a reasonable justification for deployment, in DC they are being used as a propaganda tool and intimidation tactic of local residents.

This was screen grabbed from a video of NG troops staging in front of the Washington monument. That is a mounted machine gun. Likely M240 or M249. They are not just armed. They are prepared with roof mounted belt driven machine guns made for fighting armies.

I think there’s a m249 saw mounted on the roof of one these vehicles. Someone is welcome to correct me, that is the more common mounted gun besides a .50 cal, which that isn’t.

Some photos from San Luis Obispo county Gifford fire. This morning the smoke was covering our mountain. It’s cleared up here since but that’s only because it’s north east of us now.

The Gifford fire is about 50 miles out from where I’m at. We can smell the smoke. Hopefully they get it under control. Lots of properties and forest with wildlife and ranches filled with domesticated animals.
