I believe the raise is actually from $174,000 to $180,600.
With the U.S. drowning in $36T of debt, Congress just gave themselves a shiny raise—bumping their salaries from $174k to $243k
Meanwhile, the median income for everyday Americans sits at $8k.
The people writing the budget can’t balance it, but they’ve mastered giving themselves a payday.
