🎨 A Community Exhibition Coming to Our Museum…

From the 22nd July, our museum will be hosting an exhibition of beautiful local art, both historic and contemporary, as part of a collaboration with the Egham Watercolour Painting Group and the Lyne Watercolour Arts Group!

Photograph of the Air Forces Memorial Text reads: In the 20th Century, Runnymede underwent newfound attention. In 1931, Lady Fairhaven purchased the meadows and commissioned Edwin Lutyens to design several monuments across the site. From then on, the importance of Runnymede as a site for international liberty continued to grow with the site gaining several new and significant monuments over the next century, like the JFK and Airforces Memorials.

Learn about Virginia Water Library’s favourite furry visitor…
Text reads: The story goes that Fable lived with a girl named Nicole who lived in Virginia Water. One day, Nicole took Fable to the local community library. Fable got spooked by a song called 'We're Going on a Bear Hunt' and ran into the nearby Cabrera Trust woods where he met Winnie the Pooh. Image of Winnie the Pooh with a little mouse on his hand. Fable's new friend helped him find his way back to the library where they were welcomed by a very friendly volunteer. After a long adventure, Fable had to rest on a cushion. The next morning, he woke up to the familiar sound of Nicole's voice. Nicole showed Fable there was no need to be scared at the library and that it was a good place to be.
