For many years, I’ve been documenting the fact that the fruit trees in the Bay Area are always in full bloom by February 11. Last year, they were much earlier than that. This photo shows the meager blossoms I found on a walk yesterday. We had an unusually warm December, and now it’s super cold.

Very stressed by aging mom with dementia, incoming admin, LA fires. I am so lucky to not be in a fire myself (in Oakland) & to have a safe home - for now. But our world is in grave danger & we're doing almost nothing. Got an ocular migraine today & cat wouldn't stop meowing. This is what she wanted.
