Oh I agree. It's clearly a continuation of the 60s popsploitation films, made by people riding the coattails of whatever was popular at the time for a quick buck.Back then there weren't any UK 'punk' films that my and my mates knew of, this and Quadrophenia (punk in attitude at leaat) were about it.

I remember liking it very much as an embryonic punk kid when I first saw it, but I saw it again fairly recently and it really doesn't hold up. Eighth Day is still a guilty pleasure though
