I moved to SC as a kid and my dad was super into civil war history. He took us a to a memorial all excited, my bro wearing a union hat but the whole place was a monument to the confederacy and we didn’t even feel safe getting out of our car. Obama was president at the time & it was a wake up call

I used to feel like a single blade of grass with my beliefs (I took South Carolina history in middle school as a kid raised on the west coast & felt this way about the civil war) but now I feel like I’m in a field of grass blades all singing the same tune. Abolish AND punish ICE👏🏽👏🏽
