I was originally going to use my own caricatures of my friends, but elected to treat this as more of a study of @sethkearsley.bsky.social’s original piece, also done on paper (no tracing here btw). I of course had to make myself Whitey.

My friends and I are about to have 8 Crazy nights ahead of us leading into the New Year! My good pal @mank01.bsky.social commissioned me to draw our friend group into the Eight Crazy Nights DVD cover.

I love when I get to flex on these projects, showcasing my ability to draw different styles on model. Its also not often I get to add shading to these, but man I really like how it came out.

A mix between a Water Buffalo and a Heron, I was certain this out there creature design would put me in. But alas, animation is immensely competitive. No matter, when the next chance to join the Avatar universe arise, I will meet the opportunity head on once again.

I actually started this one on paper first, but I edited the pose on Clip Studio Paint to make the silhouette clearer and more dynamic. I think I should start playing with forced perspective more, I think it would push my art to a whole new level.

Dog of the Samurai released more than a week ago on YouTube. Currently it has 63K views, and I simply couldn't be more amazed and grateful at the reception it's gotten. I'd like to share the animatic for a scene that didn't make the final cut. I hope you enjoy.
