Weird Canadian. Boardgame fanatic. Pretzel enthusiast. Probably autistic, definitely awkward. Non-fan of our present Neoliberal Capitalist Hellscape. Still doing the whole pandemic thing, because it's still a pandemic.
I miss the days when sociopaths at least kept their mouths shut in public. I mean, they were still there, but at least you usually didn't have to deal with them being smugly proud about it.

So it turns out that watching Oppenheimer and Dr. Strangelove in relatively quick succession is not, in fact, advisable.

I delivered an epically bad pun in a dream last night, and have to share it into the waking world. In a packed cafeteria, a man told a joke about the polished floor, the inexplicable punchline of which was "It's the frequency!" In the ensuing baffled silence, I uttered, "Ohhh, that Hertz."

Whatever else may be coming, at least I'll never have any cause to complain about the view.

I think my 30-year transition from laissez-faire capitalist to Marxist agitator has finally completed.

Just finished listening to a new album titled "Life is Exhausting". I used to find it reassuring to know others felt that way too, but now it's more likely to make me angry that so many do; that it's becoming so prevalent and normalized. It absolutely does not need to be like this.

I feel like I'm trapped in a political version of the Monty Python SPAM sketch:

Them: "You could try the NDP, that doesn't have much neoliberalism in it."

Me: "I don't want ANY neoliberalism!"

*Vikings began chanting "neoliberalism"*

It's very challenging to explain to people that I felt *more* included and engaged socially in 2020-21 than at any other point in recent memory, thanks to the wealth of online events and interactions available. 2025 feels extremely isolating in comparison.

Pineapple juice tasted strange this morning. Discovered my usual brand is now pineapple/apple/grape juice. First-world problem, to be sure, but what happens when capitalism runs out of corners to cut?

I did not anticipate having a mid-life polycrisis.

It's a facing three fillings and an existential crisis on two hours of sleep and half a waffle sort of day.

It's been all downhill since Bowie died, and went completely off the rails after we lost Lynch. We seriously need to protect any weird Davids we have left. They seem to be foundational to the fabric of reality.
