IF that's the substation burning, then there's a good chance the secondary explosion was an oil filled transformer -they have a few 100 gallons of oil as coolants in the big radiator fins. If that's substation and transformers burning, it's offline a LONG time. All winter unless they move mountains.

Ezra, do we know Slotkin is supporting the veto and opposing cloture? Why in the world would Peters do the opposite? He's retiring. The long term impact of this CR getting through will be to devastate the safety net. Does he care more for the 1% than the for rest of us ?

Will you also vote against cloture, and are you actively fighting to stall the bill with a veto? Letting this bill get past cloture is betraying FDR, the new deal, and every working family in America.

Canada is the leading producer of US oil purchases, Mexico is #2. Their is no replacing those sources. Piss them off at your own risk.
