Did the company I work for seriously just lower the flag to half mast in honor of a racist Christian Nationalist? How do I respond to that?

Is there any difference between the spending bill that just passed the House hours ago and the deal that Speaker Johnson and Democrats had originally agreed to? If so, what is it? If not, why is anyone talking about anything except what a humiliating loss this is for Trump/Musk?
