I just want some evidence that we are a soft touch. It feels like a narrative that appeared pre Brexit then stuck even though we have lower migration numbers than the EU. I do wonder if then because it’s “Labour” they feel they need to be even tougher hence the weirdly arbitrary 20 years.

Just seeing this after you screenshots I didn’t realize how much they stepped up for the film.

Some journalists in the bbc hopes the next DG apologizes to both Justin Webb and Croxall about their sanctions and withdraw them… says the times you can’t make it up.

I would be but someone is reporting in the times that they want the next DG to apologize to Justin Webb and if they do that the BBC might as well be dead. As much as I do want it to succeed. I’m glad the line is holding on payment as Trump better lose. But they’ve Deffo capitulated on trans.

It just remind me of Rishi saying long term decisions (which correct) then binning them all what felt a week later bar HS2 cos he needed the short termist Rwanda plan.

Seeing it get a lot of praise on X so eh their strategy to alienate progressives is working I guess. But yeah the cutting legal migration/refugees while people want the boats sorted is really weird. And will damage us eventually.

But also does it mean MPs are willing to sacrifice Wales and Scotland that’s why the wait till May argument is weird to me. Let’s first get destroyed in our heartland then have an election.

It’s all the medias fault they don’t praise their achievements or something. That’s what ive got from them.

Why is this the week the Starmer fans appeared… like one has appeared in my thread for the first time.

People who pay too much income tax are already moaning and I don’t think would have been able to have moan in a more impactful way. Oh well YouGov says people happy so I bet champagne popping in No 10…

Why is no one making the argument that the risk of the tax say allowed them to invest and improve public services so that the initial shock/broken promise is forgotten. No we are just gonna have more farmers for the next 4 years that know how to get in the news

John Smith would have been better than this!

Yeah I feel being open about it rather than just pushing people into higher rates (so they feel it’s raised) or raising NI on employers to get less employment but at least if you squint the manifesto isn’t broken. It’s no vision and a lot has changed in the past year but Labour just ignored Trump

It will piss more special interest groups off and once again divide whatever the f working people are. But yes the fact it sounds like she is writing her budget in a panic is scary. Esp when it’s later this year.

Well no they won’t be here in a year. I think it’s now nailed on leadership bid.
