A 21-faceted moon and a network of relay stations orbit the planet. They are the armament of Mother Hitton, the "weapons mistress" in charge of the care and feeding of the "Littul Kittons", which are in fact mink which have been selectively bred for centuries for psychotic, self-destructive madness. Of necessity they spend almost the entirety of their lives under anaesthesia, and are only awakened to mate or when needed for defense. The brain patterns of these mad mink, when awakened into frenzy, are focused into an intense telepathic beam that can be directed at any incoming space ship from the relay station, driving all humans into immediate suicidal psychosis –as Bozart discovers first-hand, tearing out an eyeball in the process. The odd spelling of the "Littul Kittons" was intentional, as research into the term would act as a tripwire, alerting the Norstrilian defenses to potential hostile activity.

The verbal behavior that is the stimuli that members of a community have agreed have some special significance, and when combined with other stimuli take on 2nd, 3rd or 4th order significance through transitive properties only our brains have the power to compute. 6/
Stimulus propositions (indicated in ovals in Figure 1) involve “information about prompting external stimuli and the context in which they occur,” and response propositions refer to “information about responding in this context, including expressive verbal behavior, overt acts, and the visceral and somatic events that mediate arousal and actions” (p. 194). Meaning propositions (shown in rectangles) refer to “information that defines the meaning of the stimulus and response data” (p. 194). Lang maintains that the network of stimuli shown in the figure exists as a schema in long-term memory, and states that the entire network is activated when any component stimulus is encountered. The model indicates that simply walking in a wooded area and seeing quick movement out of the corner of one's eyes, for example, could be enough to accelerate one's heart rate, feel afraid, and subsequently run away. The stimulus propositions provide the initial input, the implications of these stimuli are altered by the meaning propositions present in the network (e.g., seeing movement in a wooded area implies danger and other unpredictable consequences). Responses like an accelerated heart rate, saying “I'm afraid,” and running away are the almost inevitable outcome of the cognitive processing specified by the model. The components of the network can be learned through direct experience (e.g., by being bitten by a snake), through instruction (learning about what snakes are, where they live, and how dangerous they can be), and through modeling (watching others respond in fear to snakes, or hearing others describe how afraid they are of snakes). As stated earlier, only a few of the stimuli specified in the model need be present for the entire network to be activated.

HOW IS THIS DIFFERENT FROM THE CURRENT TAX CODE? There is no similar law in the current tax code. WHAT DOES THE POLLING SAY ABOUT IT? A total of 13 questions from national polls and 10 questions from state polls are included in the analysis.4 The polling questions were similar to the following question: “Do you support a 2% tax on an individual’s wealth above $50 million each year, and 3% on wealth above $1 billion?” AN AVERAGE OF THREE IN FIVE (63%) RESPONDENTS SUPPORT A WEALTH TAX IN NATIONAL POLLS DEMOCRATS: 78% INDEPENDENTS: 62% REPUBLICANS: 51% According to national poll findings, an average of three in five (63%) respondents support a wealth tax. 78% of Democrats, 62% of Independents, and 51% of Republicans support the reform.
