With USAID sidelined, U.S. resources will likely shift more toward military and security assistance, which directly aligns with Israel’s priorities for regional “stability, and their continued terrorism/genocidal behavior.

Israel is exempt from the broader USAID funding freeze as they primarily get aid through “Foreign Military Financing.”

In Gaza, the freeze on aid has disrupted food assistance and healthcare services. We know Trump is already transparent about his intentions, but this further solidifies that no part of Trumps plan involves rebuilding Gaza for Palestinians.

The strengthens the prison industrial complex. This is an “under the table,” way for them to increase slave wage labor. Although, Russia & China may step in through means that destabilize this effort. Who knows.

However, making countries destabilized due to withdrawing U.S. support will likely increase migration to other countries. Trump and Elon are actively advocating for other countries, as well as the U.S., to heighten their opposition to immigration and increasing criminalization.

Also, ironic enough, the dismantling of USAID gives Israel a large advantage. Suspension of U.S. aid threatens the Lebanon-Israel “ceasefire” by weakening Lebanon’s ability to secure its borders.

We lose “soft power,” by removing that support because other nations will need to step in (especially considering some of the countries that will no longer get support are in BRICS with Russia and China). China and Russia will most likely step in. This puts them in a global perspective advantage.

Mind you USAID isn’t America just being “generous.” It’s a tool that can be used to attempt to mask that a lot of the countries we are “supporting,” are directly and consistently harmed at the hands of U.S. imperialism.

The closure of USAID massively decreases our global power. Kind of how if all rich folks/celebrities didn’t attend philanthropic events, they would probably get more criticism for their ethics around money.
