Aspiring Web Developer. I like building with Angular, Node, and PostgreSQL. Still debugging why NaN !== NaN 🤷‍♂️

I had toyed around with an idea of learning about Websockets by building a real-time data visualizer for people voting where to go eat. I will add SSE's to my learning list!

Thanks for your thoughts and engaging! That's a solid trade-off to consider. I would love to look into Websockets more. I haven't had a chance to build anything with them, but they are a fascinating technology to me (coming from standard CRUD HTTP development).

I hadn't heard of their affiliate link controversy - thanks for the info! My understanding is that the full page ads are opt-out (which I have), so that's an important note. uBlock is my go to everywhere else though - solid take Zerk thank you.

The best decision I made last year was leaving Chrome - GOOD LUCK SOLDIER! I landed with Brave myself. Built-in ad blocker! And I get to keep chrome dev tools. Thanks for sharing.

I hope you do! It was a beneficial read for me. There's a healthy dose of "performance is subjective according to your needs". No architecture ultimatums from what I read. Mostly practical tips on how to avoid waterfalls as much as it makes sense. Let me know your thoughts if/when you read it!
