Yeah great advice, thank you. I have a background in coding to an extent for work (JavaScript and SQL mainly) so I’m familiar with some concepts so not starting from zero per se but yes definitely using it as an advisor etc. rather than it writing anything for me.

I’m using @godotengine.org by the way. It seems fantastic so far. EXTREMELY early days, but from a day 1 perspective with no experience of game dev tools it seems incredibly approachable and, most importantly, understandable and approachable.

I’m invested in Kiryu’s story already (only just got out of prison) and feel a need to find / rescue Yumi as soon as possible! I’ve got so much to play these days, but just looking forward to getting back to this kind of old, kind of weird gem.

Claude Code to help me learn as part of this test project. I’m not sure if that’s frowned upon in this area but it’s a hobby project, as I say, so in this instance it’s not going to be taking work from real devs, for what it’s worth. It will be supplementing learning, not replacing it.

I finally made the move to Android a few weeks ago after using iOS 26 on my iPhone 16. It’s actually nice to have a plain looking OS again haha. Until you use another OS you don’t appreciate how slow Apple has made iOS feel with all of the animations and extra fluff.
