In short:
McKenzie is annoying & I have no issue with people being worried about the tone of the game or him sticking around for the majority of the game and weighing the experience down, but "worst character in gaming" or "worst Metroid character" feels like a bit of a stretch to me.

Plus, I would rather an NPC be annoying than Samus.
