Scamming Mutual Aid is not productive and most actual scammers will do something else. MA seekers by and large are having so much trouble getting their needs met and that much more so for Palestinian people seeking aid feeding themselves when supplies are inflated and blocked by Occupation.
Post from DemitriMorgan.com reading: "Social media is utterly replete with bots and scammers, profiles asking for money are grifting 99% of the time regardless of who they claim to be, and the moderation team can see every user's IP address and other metadata that the rest of us cannot."

We've revised our procedure for our donors to report donations for rewards.

We're seeing the rise of a new (to us) fundraising campaign scam. We will be adding any and all accounts we see posting this to our Campaign Scammers Moderation List going forward.
Mrmagoo579 replies to a post featuring a go fund me link with: "Hello (hand waving emoji) Are you the owner of this campaign or just promoting on someone's behalf?"

Community Alert: Harry the Sea Otter is harassing Mutual Aid seekers and supporters. bsky.app/profile/harr...

We first noticed him through his harassment of @babyyg0r3.bsky.social, and he is now evading blocks and taking screenshots to publicly name & shame anyone who blocks them with screenshots.

The user confettimother.bsky.social has created a moderation list explicitly for muting/blocking mutual aid seekers. We highly recommend blocking her yourself as soon as possible if you have ever asked for help or shared another's need.

We've recieved a response to our inquiry email to Sprise regarding PallyGG.

They state they are no longer the controlling owner of PallyGG and it is a different company that it was sold to.

Likely, the "Acquired" listing on their website references the other company acquiring it from them.

Much of the streaming community has only just learned that you've acquired PallyGG and are understandably concerned that it is now in the hands of a company emphasizing NFTs. I, like many others, have a vested interest in continuing to use the service, but have a hard stance against supporting companies' continued development of environmentally harmful technologies such as Blockchain and AI. Are you able to give us assurances that PallyGG will stay free aside from voluntary donations? More so, is there any way you can confirm that the voluntary donations will Only support PallyGG? If there is any form of official statement you can make or share that will confirm a yes on one or both of those questions, it might go a long way toward users continuing to use the PallyGG service. I've received an email response from Sprise that's makes this all the more confusing. They state that THEY are they original company who sold off PallyGG to a private team.

Our staff is fairly confident in our ability to identify scammers, from fundraising scams, to gfx scams.

This user reached out to us in DMs and is entirely within the typical script of a gfx scammer. Block recommended.

Typically artists of any crediblity so not cold dm users to offer their services. We hope you understand that all of the above is said as a precaution to avoid bots and scams. It's very wrong to say such things about someone without knowing them.🙃 I'm not forcing you to do anything, you can work with me or not, it's up to you, sir." TheDASP: "Unfortunately that is all within the form I expect from scammers. We're warned our discord community and will proceed to block and warn folks here on bluesky. Pointedly, it is simply best to not cold dm people seeking customers if you want to prevent such a response. I wish you the best of luck adjusting your marketing model." One of our beneficiaries newer to bluesky asked for recommendations today for moderation lists. At this time we do not run any, and would prefer not to, but we can in good faith recommend @bonnicula.bsky.social and her moderation lists.
