I like that perspective. I also think there’s something to ‘bearing witness’ to horrific things. Acknowledging them. Feeling them without judgement.

Sometimes people sugarcoat life…and the reality is that it can sometimes be fucking tragic for absolutely no discernible reason.

What reactions put you off from S1? It's got some of the best storytelling and cinematography in modern filmmaking era imo.

Looking at The Complete Short Stories of Ernest Hemingway on my shelf right now. An incredible collection. He was a true master of the craft.
