I'll be happy to give you some pointers. I'll write a blog this week on how I take photos. I'm no expert by any means but it might have some good pointers.

Nice work! With a good depth of field, these would be fantastic in the magazine.

The olive branch is still there, if you wish to take it up.

As far as ignoring your suggestions, I'm not sure where this comes from. I forward each suggestion given to me to the team for discussion. WS&S strength has always been to listen to reader feedback.

It is a shame you did not save that email, then at least you could have quoted me correctly. I did not say how wrong you were either.

At no point did I say that in our correspondence.

I did say: "... where I can, I encourage different scales."

Also: "... I am seeing a lot of positive from this email... I would be interested in working on ideas how we could improve things, if you are willing."

That would have been an email from me, and in that email, you may recall me praising the work of Per Broden and his 6mm, which I described as a 'masterpiece'.

The Ice Queen does, too. One person, one vote. She's the lady, and she has the one and only vote!

Tell that to the Ice Queen! :-P

I see autocorrect changed the author's name from Brendan! Apologies - my volunteer Sam posted this. I'll ask him to check things before he posts in future. Hopefully no harm done.

This was posted by my helper Sam. Bless him! No capital letter for the Austrians either! D'oh!

You'll forgive Sam, my friend who helped me out today. He's still learning. And indeed, Britain, not England!
