#realdancingboy@Crazy Days and Nights blog. The greatest former child actor you've never heard of. Retired competitive food fighter, and food taster to the stars. Trying to avoid a lifetime achievement award for most time spent in the booby hatch.
I'll post a picture of Harley one of these days. Just don't charge him extra for the croutons.

If you're a reader of CDAN you likely know who the mother is, but if not she had at the time recently given birth to a daughter - a girl who'd go on to become just about the most famous millennial tv child actress, with a show of her own. Her older brother T. is in some of the clips.

And it was largely because despite the fact that the agency hired a celebrity attorney to represent me (initials M.B.), I already had a rap sheet and Reputation going back to grade school: truancy, car theft (it was my dad's, okay?), and stealing xanax from my friend's mother.

In the end, I had to do four weekends in juvie, mostly listening to lectures about juvenile delinquency. (I spent my child career wanting to do this or that movie or show, but for real in some way - there was no reality tv back then - and now I had my own real life "Over the Edge.")

True enough, but what tween doesn't want to be put on a 72 hour hold in the psych ward? (I'm joking of course, but there are times when I think it really wasn't that worse than junior high school. And I had already been to rehab by then.)

But I did it all - stopping the show, getting arrested - because it felt like the adults weren't doing a darn thing to find my friend. (I remember my officer friend's partner, the shrink, saying: "you might have just picked up the phone and called us.")

As it turns out, I wasn't the only person arrested in the theater that night. There was...a pirate. And this person captured the whole thing on video, which for some reason has been in the evidence locker (or wherever) for decades. It's kind of upsetting to see your tween self this way.

One of the two cops who interviewed me in the ER (I had my own room, which unfortunately was locked from the outside) became an unexpected ally, and has spent many years trying to figure out what became of a close - another young actor who went missing a year earlier.

Back when I was 13, I interrupted a showing of this one movie, which happened to star in part my friend Harley "I'm not paying extra for croutons" Cross by standing up and literally shouting fire in the theater, and starting to take off my clothes (you can probably guess the movie).

So, as readers of #crazydaysandnights might know, my forthcoming collaborators and I have been putting together this documentary about my coming up using actual footage from my life - home movies, auditions, clips from commercials, flicks and tv - and we were just gifted something interesting.
