Perhaps it would’ve been more logical to look into the controversy and the reasonings behind it, which includes at least reading the page that’s gotten people concerned, before jumping to the death threats.

I obviously don’t condone it, however so many people are getting fixated on the small amount of death threats and not the hundreds of tweets showing valid concern and criticism.

Well the notion of shifting the discussion of “what this person is writing is bad” to “death threats is bad”, something that most reasonable people who are saying the former already know. And really you’d have to be cherry picking them.

Framing any negative feedback as ‘death threats’ and ‘harassment’ to avoid criticism of depicting a CSA victim submitting to her rapist, dismissing the very real concerns of the women and SA survivors who are understandably upset, isn’t exactly the win you think it is.

I don’t think it’s fair to dismiss all negative feedback as ‘death threats’ just to avoid addressing criticism about writing a character who was a CSA victim, submitting to her rapist—especially when much of that criticism is coming from women and SA survivors who are understandably upset.
