The problem is players putting fully funded shows level of expectations onto regular people. You can't blame Mercer, BLeeM & other amazing DMs for players that are expecting everyone else to be at that level. That's their personal issue and unfair to everyone else at the table.

With the amount of characters I control as the GM, I do voices so my players have an easier time remembering who they're talking to. Especially when the scene has several NPCs. I don't expect my players or fellow GMs to do voices unless they want to.
