There are still a few spots available in our Project Management for Scientists “bootcamp”! This new CSCCE training will run for three weeks, starting Monday, 31 March, and is perfect for anyone coordinating complex STEM projects.

You’ll leave the bootcamp with a strong sense of how to address your current project management context using a Project Canvas template and worksheets. And everyone who completes the training receives a digital badge to showcase their new skills.

5 - Technical skills - Many community managers develop or hone particular skills that align with their role, sometimes even specializing in certain aspects of community management such as data management or design.

4 - Communication skills - Community managers are often tasked with sharing the story of a community and its members, almost like a commentator or TV host, both publicly and within the community.

3 - Program Development skills - They also have to look ahead to the future, maybe handing off a project as funding shifts, or exploring new opportunities for engagement.

2 - Program Management skills - Just like the officials, administrators, and volunteers in Paris, STEM community managers have to juggle all sorts of management tasks, including hosting events and managing timelines (and not all of them are particularly glamorous!)
August 13, 2024 at 2:19 PM
1 - Interpersonal skills - Community managers are natural team players, building relationships with their members and nurturing the formation of networks. They may also have to mediate difficult conversations between members to build a strong and lasting community.
