In all honesty, exploring some of these worlds would be quickly fatal. Other than that, they're all interesting for one reason or another.

Ask them why. That might be the gaming experience they want and that's okay for them.

They might also need help; roleplaying can feel daunting. I often jump on the embarrassment knife and introduce an over the top NPC to break the ice.
