Both parties have a long history in darkness. Before LBJ, the Democrats in the South were the party of racism and bigotry. There are fringes in both parties. However it is very difficult to recognize the current GOP agenda has anything Eisenhower or Lincoln envisioned.

I'm a firm believer that modern-day republicanism is a personality disorder. Sometimes these diseases take time to fester.

I think what's more shocking is what people on the right are completely fine with. Where are people on the right about Matt Gaetz? The same people that were against abortion from rape and incest are fine with statutory rape and pedophilia?
