I'm 50% of the way through 《柳舟记》 (Are You the One), but I'm confused by a few plot lines due to the lack of backstory. I had expected most of the backstory would have been revealed by now.

《督主有病》is such a challenging read. I'll need to go slowly and read 2 chapters a day.
I didn't expect so many specific historical terms, uncommon vocabulary and flowery, poetic descriptions.
