That's wonderful then, they're maybe a small business but they seem to offer quality service. I agree with you, keeping the psu just in case is a solid plan, a backup psu or for a future build. I'm so happy for you, good luck and i hope Mr. Biscuits stays with you for years to come ✨💖

Hell yeah! You got really lucky there, power surges are nasty and your old psu have protected you.

I would ask the repair guy to do a stability check, something like a 30 minutes render in blender, to make sure everything can work without problems.

Windows corruption is common with power surges.

that's such a fun game concept, if not a crossover, a stand along game like this would be awesome.

i hope this helps, if you need anything more i can maybe try to help over discord if that's okay. also try looking for a shop just to conform which parts are dead, to save the money of buying new parts.

some notes:
- you don't need a jumper to do a CMOS reset, just anything conductive like a screw driver works.

- if you don't have any old gpu around or an AM4 cpu with a gpu, look for a repair shop to help.

- if all else fails consider a new mobo, ANY B-450 to B550 will work, check cpu list first

4 - check all power connectors are from the psu are fully connected.

5 - if you have another gpu try a gpu swap.

6 - if you have a usb flash drive, download the last NOT beta BIOS in your phone and use a dongle to connect the drive, put it in the usb port for bios flashback. look at page 45.

You said you swapped the cpu on the notes here's some things to try.

1 - just a check, try to check the cpu and motherboard for bent or broken pins, and try to reset the cpu.

2 - remove anything other then core components, led hubs and fans, anything.

3 - look at page 38 to do a CMOS reset.

okay i got some information, but just to make sure. the led used to not light up all the time right? a white CPU light in B-550 pro CEC means a cpu problem. this can be anything from the cpu not getting power to cpu or motherboard damage. here's the manual download-2.msi.com/archive/mnu_...

Apologies for not checking the twitch info panel, this feels like either a gpu problem or a corrupted bios problem, you said that the same psu used to work fine before the power surge so it's maybe not power starvation. I have an almost identical system so I'll do some research and get back to you 🫂

It seems the pc post and you can get into the bios, if you know your motherboard try to do a CMOS reset, look up the manual for it in the company page, look for bios or CMOS reset. I recommend removing your storage to keep your files safe until you find a solution.

Sorry for the number of questions
