Ad guy. Dad guy. Writer of things and observer of culture.
If the American political media was really doing its job, they'd be asking if Trump's wild policy swings on tariffs were a sign of his age and cognitive decline. But actually examining the job that the president is doing and its impacts only happens when Democrats are in charge.

As an Ad Guy, here's my 2 cents on American politics right now. The Democrats have a communications problem that rooted in a fundamental fracturing of their brand. The party has a solid brand promise, but they have an awful brand position. Hear me out...

When I tell someone, "I hope you get everything you voted for," please know that that is not a friendly salutation.

I dunno, man. Maybe the whole plan to shock and awe federal employees as a means of demoralizing them into taking fugazi buyouts didn't take into account people who work for the government like, say, air traffic controllers and was a terrible idea.

Americans are not prepared for the level of overt corruption, breaking of laws, and straight up misbehavior on the part of the elites in this country, but it's coming. Ask your friends from certain parts of South America, Africa, and Asia how it all turns out for us.

Party City shoulda taken a page from video stores back in the day and, in legal marijuana states, had a whole other "Party City" in the back behind a bead curtain.

I'm bringing Hennessy to all the holiday parties this year to see if bougie Black folks over 40 can still fight.

Kendrick Lamar destroyed your daughter's favorite rapper earlier this year and then dropped an album today where the first track his him explaining why he did it. God tier rapping.

Welp. Looks like Matt Gaetz’s girlfriend won’t have a letter of recommendation from the Attorney General on her college application.

This Pete Hegseth thing has John Tower rolling over in his grave.

I miss the era in America where we all shared basic media which meant we all understood and agreed on a set of facts.

People voted to end the Civil Rights Era because they thought eggs were too expensive.

What the fuck kind of reality am I living in when a convicted felon's sentencing gets postponed because he was elected president? HOW DID THIS HAPPEN?
November 19, 2024 at 6:56 PM
I don't know when or how it happened, but one morning, it seems like all of humanity woke up and stopped using electric can openers. Like, everyone collectively said, "Fuck it. We're going analog with these cans" and that was that.

They’re really just trying to wear out the outrage with these initial picks so that when they start bringing the real right wing hardliners in with names you don’t know, they seem tame by comparison. Gaetz won’t be AG, but who are the trying to pass off as reasonable who is?

I've said it before and I will say it again; if LL Cool J died in 1995, he would be in everyone's top 5 guaranteed. You don't have a run like he did from Radio to Mama Said Knock You Out and not get mentioned as a GOAT.

Anyone else rediscovering Rage Against The Machine this week or is that just me?

Just turned off my notifications on Xitter. Kinda feels like going to the Post Office and filling out that card when you move.

I really appreciate the fact that I can open this app and not feel my shoulders tense up in anger.

The one consolation in all of this news about Trump’s prospective appointees and plans is knowing that, in 18 months when it all goes to shit and everyone is mad at Trump, he’s going to publicly disavow all of these people and the ideas he’s implemented.

Y’all do realize that once they put the National Guard into major cities for mass deportations, they’re going to stay as an occupying force because of “crime,” right?

We here now?

Xitter has become nothing but pro-Trump propaganda. So I’m gonna try this out.
