This is how we build the strength to do what needs to be done next, and the wisdom to know what that is.

Follow your curiosity, follow what feels connective. Build a whole repertoire of practices that feed your soul. Bring intention and mindfulness to them. Give yourself space and time to get absorbed and lost in them. Realign with your values, face your shadows. No fear, no judgement, just truth.

Find and practice the things that nurture a deep sense of connectedness. Meditation and journaling are important. AND. My ADHD ass gets bored with that real quick 🙃 I find deep connection in gardening, forest walking, making art, dancing, even mindfully cleaning my house. It’s all about intention.

It can be really hard figuring out what spirituality /spiritual practice means after faith deconstruction, esp if you’ve landed outside the faith. Reframing as “inner connection” can help. What helps you feel deeply connected to your inner self, your values, your body, to your purpose, to life?

When I say “spiritual practice”, I’m talking about intentional habits that keep you attuned to your inner world, point you to your highest values and deepest wisdom, and connect you to something greater than yourself, whether that’s a higher power or humanity itself. Everyone needs this.
