Today's #cocktail is a Manhattan riff that only has 1-ingredient in common w/ it's mother.

Perfect for #Thanksgiving season, spiced from the ango and port w/ tons of rich, smooth flavor.

Ward Room #Recipe
1oz Dark Rum
1oz Cognac
1oz Port
Barspoon Maraschino Liqueur

What the hell, it's not time for snow yet!?

I'm staying inside and making syrups to cope with the cold!

Here's sage infused honey used in a classic #cocktail.

Simmer the syrup w/ 3:1 honey:water adding 10 sage leaves. #oc

Dom's Bee's Knees #Recipe
2oz Gin
1oz 3:1 Sage Infused Honey
.75oz Lemon

In #Kobe I had a Yuzu sour that was practically white as snow, so I tried to reverse engineer it.

Light, bright and like sipping on a citrusy meringue. Pure deliciousness.

Kobe Sour #Recipe
2oz Roku Gin
1oz Yuzu Liqueur
1oz Simple
.5oz Lime
1 Egg White
Dry/Wet shake, double strain.

It's been too long since I've shared an original #cocktail!

I make this one whenever I miss #Japan. You can find a Yuzu Daiquiri in any self-respecting Japanese cocktail bar, but this is my version.

Sashiburi #Recipe
1.75oz W. Rum
1oz Simple
.75oz Yuzu Liquor
.75oz Lime

Embarking on a load of new Rum #cocktails I'm not familiar with.

This one is like a tikified daiquiri, and I love the funky notes from the Falernum and Barbados #Rum.

Barbados Cocktail #Recipe
1.5oz Barbados Aged Rum
.75oz Falernum
.75oz Lime
Shake, strain, sip

Ya ever see a bottle of Falernum and think, "WTF is that for?!?"

This #cocktail, and like, every good tiki drink ever made.

It's a clove heavy liqueur, w/ tropical fruity notes.

Royal Bermuda Yacht Club #Recipe
.75oz Dark Rum
.75oz Gold Rum
.75oz Lime
.5oz Falernum
.5oz Curacao

Same drink, different citrus!

The Jack Rose is a century old #cocktail w/ a secret layer of controversy!

Some say it's made w/ lemon, others swear by lime. Make em both and let me know which you prefer!

Jack Rose #Recipe
1.5oz 100p Apple Brandy
.75oz Grenadine
.75oz Lemon or Lime

Keeping it simple with a 3-ingredient #cocktail today!

TJ Siegal coined this drink in 2001. It was a mainstay at Milk & Honey for years. If you're like me, go a bit heavy on the #bourbon.

Gold Rush #Recipe
2oz 100 Proof Bourbon
.75oz Lemon
.75oz Honey Syrup
Combine, ice, shake.

Here's a fun original #cocktail, it's #fall flavored and rich enough to be dessert.

Don't be afraid of the egg yolk, it's nutty, creamy and delicious!

Dom's Cola Fizz #Recipe
1.5oz Reposado Tequila
.75oz Coffee Liqueur
.75oz Agave
.5oz Benedictine

Back to basics, trying to perfect my ratios for the classic #cocktails everyone knows.

Personally, I prefer a clean, wet, gin #Martini w/ a lil bit of orange over lemon or olives. Don't shake it, stirring tastes better.

Wet Martini #Recipe
1.5oz Gin
.75oz Dry Vermouth
1 Dash Orange Bitters

Here's a spooky #cocktail for #Halloween, it's a Midori Sour riff with a grapefruit Campari foam!

Bright, sour & sweet.

Grabbed by the Ghoulie's #Recipe
2oz Gin
.75oz Midori
.5oz Maraschino
.75oz Simple
.75oz Lime
Combine, shake, strain, foam, sip.

Experimenting with #Vegan foaming agents with the #ISI Whipper, here's a combo of methylcellulose and xanthan gum.

Light, marshmallowy texture that lasts far longer than traditional egg white foams.

Still working the ratio out.

1.5g Methyl, .5g Gum, 400g Liquid

Someone asked if I make eggnog, and my answer was "kinda?"

Not a fan of the store bought aged stuff, I'd prefer to make it on demand.

Simply make an egg yolk or whole egg #cocktail, and you've got "eggnog" in single servings with no wait time.

Here's a Mezcal and Coffee "nog".

Got a new toy and it's already upgrading my #cocktails!

Like this Hemingway Daiquiri w/ a Midori Sour foam! I made the foam w/ an ISI Whipper, and I'm gonna be doing a lot of practice w/ it over the next few weeks.

Once I nail a few foam recipes I'll share 'em!

Now this #cocktail is pure candy in a coupe.

Adapted from Bobby Huegell's Apparent Sour, my version has greater depth of flavor from grapefruit and gin. It's adorable.

1oz Gin
.75oz Elderflower Liqueur
.75oz Acid Adjusted Grapefruit
1 Egg White

Love when a #cocktail perfectly combines ingredients you'd never mix otherwise.

This Vieux Carré riff from Matthias Lataille balances bitter gentian, anise and cola flavors. Delicious! #Cheers #oc #pic

Working on a balsamic vinegar cocktail that's not quite ready yet, so here's a bar rec instead!

Janai Coffee in #Ebisu (Tokyo) is one of the most fun bars I've been to. Unflappable hospitality and talent, wicked recipes and an overall incredible concept.

It's hidden behind a coffee shop bookshelf.

NEW INFUSION TECHNIQUE!

How to easily infuse fresh fruit w/ classic #cocktails?

Freeze 2 strawberries, shatter them with a mallet and add them to the shaker like extra ice.

Infuses REAL strawberry w/o syrups or synthetic flavors.

Try w/ a daiquiri and you'll really taste it. #oc #pic #cheers

My Honeymoon is over and I'm back to real life and making #cocktails w/ dozens of new ideas from traveling #Japan again.

Got a couple more bar recs for #Tokyo, but classic recipes and original drinks are returning this week as well! Thanks for the patience as I recovered from jet lag! #cheers

If you come to #Fukuoka, and you don't go to NoTime, you're making an incredible mistake.

The most creative #cocktails I've tasted so far in Japan, w/ impeccable hospitality.

This bar is phenomenal.

While 52 has some really neat interior design, the #cocktails definitely leave something to be desired.

Tried a hojicha, coffee and absinthe cocktail, but none of them were balanced well.

Skip this one if it pops up on your #Fukuoka itinerary.
