It did improve a bit
I met so many great people and participated in conversations with people way smarter than me when starting out in Wi-Fi. Great debates with a surprising amount of nuance for 140 characters.
It also meant I already had friends and folks that I knew the 1st time I went to WLPC.

It’s so good, but a lot of the value came from the fact that it was easy to learn for free or low cost, and that everyone used it. The more they prioritize the top 200 customers, the more brain drain there will be as people learn other virtualization platforms.
