He dismissed the suggestion to call Tom Walz about the death of a MN legislator and her husband. When asked, he said "why would I?" or words to that effect. Trump has shown time and again that he's transactional.

Apparently Trump doesn't understand—or, perhaps, doesn't care—that he's hurting Americans who have overwhelmingly voted Republican. I expect at least some of them are wondering why.

I'm guessing Spc Becstrom never wrote Trump a check for anything or praised him publicly. Those things seem to be required for him to acknowledge a tragic death properly.
