They could’ve used that power for anything. They used it to shitefest Brexit past the public, crush the left, mutilate the main opposition party into a flayed bloody ruin of itself, then shoved it into power with instructions to continue ratcheting up fear and hatred, to justify more crackdowns.

Even I am shocked that British politics is this relentlessly insulting. There’s a new and worse affront to the public’s intelligence every six hours or so. At this rate, they’ll be pushing dog turds through their constituents’ letterboxes by November 2027.
