You know what's a good gotdang movie?

Matthau was a star during this period but at 50-ish to May's 39, he's a little miscast (I bet Charles Grodin would've killed in this). Still, Matthau's lovely.

Did I get a little teary when Henrietta gifts Henry the frond token? You're damned right I did.

London game devs! I’ll be there tomorrow. Let’s show Rockstar and their parent company Take-Two that we stand by our fellow workers who deserve reinstatement.

Will you?

Good Boy, meh movie! Jackie Chan is old as fuck and still charismatic as hell! Found footage where the premise of the doc within the film makes no sense! Zombie v Shark: Dawn of Justfish!

All winners this week, movie-wise. Dark City was the director’s cut from Arrow’s recent 4K. I had to chew on OBAA in a second viewing which hooked me. And Perdita Durango/aka Dance With the Devil is a first time watch since its VHS release.

Happy #LetterboxdFriday! What’s your #LastForWatched?

Cripes, True Grit is perfect. I liked Weapons the first time and adored it the second. And despite feeling like a pilot shot for streaming, Dead Talents Society has some good bits and could’ve benefit from more creative production design.

YEAHHHHHHHHHHH!

I hope there’s a physical release at some point. #filmsky

Yep. Still love the ending of The Beyond (1981)

One like = one skeet gushing about a movie I love.

(I’m tired and lazy so these may happen slowly)

Excitedly explaining the books for free pizza deal we had in grade school to my girlfriend who didn’t grow up in the States.

I adore lots of Wingard’s previous work but Godzilla X Kong was an ugly, overly busy film.

Adult Swim Yule Log threw everything at the wall (complimentary) but I kinda wish it had the courage to stick with the fixed POV.

Three of these didn’t have enough movie or feeling to sustain their runtimes. One was an absolutely devastating drama with a performance by Ms. Eartha Kitt that took my breath away.

The No. 1 politician in the U.K. out here whining about hate speech as though being in a military documented slaughtering civilians and journalists is some kind of precious, protected class.

Someone, please come to my house and kill this juicy son of a bitch. I beg of you.

3 rewatches and a first time viewing of a classic.

Both Anderson and Zombie made a pair of films with lots of ideas (that never really cohered). Ww should have more low-key action comedies like Midnight Run. And Anora remains a tightrope act of tones and feeling.

Tornado and Heretic were both dull at both the conceptual and execution levels. Meanwhile, Predator: Killer of Killers asks, “What if there were some Predators?”

Not the point, but what in the Pimp Named Slickback did they do to the gorgeous Mr. Alex Hernandez here?

Having a rotten week and positively DO NOT want to talk about it.

One respite’s been reading Al Ewing’s Immortal Hulk run. You might be having a hard time, but Dr. Robert Bruce Banner is having a harder one.
