The Cat was a much loved alpha-female feral, OTRB 4.5.2021. Photos are of her, her family and the feral cats who we used to feed, plus more recent photos of local village and farm cats.

That would sum up Laddie, except that he was “exiled” to my yard after nearly severing the ear of another local male. The only one not afraid of him is Mittens. Even then, he was a terrible mate! But he has the cutest giant face🐈‍⬛

These were plastic farmers' crates which we bought from our local greengrocer. Under the olive tree we put three together (tied through the holes) with netting on the top so the cats didn't slip when they landed. They worked really well, and all the cats used them.

Yes, she was The Cat's grand-daughter (via Flora) and her colours were more dilute. She had a lovely temperament, gentle and content 🐾❤️

Well spotted! We put the upside-down crates there by the wall and under the olive tree to make it easier for The Cat to make the jumps as she was getting older. All the cats used them. The thud-thud of little paws landing became part of the soundtrack of garden life 🐾❤️

She was a lovely little cat, and (helpfully!) very photogenic too. It took all of two days to socialise her ❤️
