You can never ever ever ever have too much minimalism
In fact I saw a play at the brand new GPAC in the early 80’s about D and N. And even then I do not recall their relationship being touched on. But this may have been my naivety at the time. (I googled it play was called ‘Ladies of Fortune’)

I grew up in Geelong and knew of Drysdale and Newcombe as prominent early settlers in the region. But until today, at the age of 66 I did not know they were a couple. But then again like so many other things the Christian Brothers of 1970 were never go to tell us the truth on these facts.

It has to stop soon at some stage but by the looks of it not this time.

Ha ha this was my dilemma too. But much to my chagrin I put LNP last. Mainly because he was of the 5 gutless abstainers who walked out on the same sex marriage vote with Abbott.

At 66 years of age I still find year 8 humour extremely funny

But he would have been sweating for awhile.

Ha ha. I can’t even claim to have been at that game as I was studying hard at Monash Uni in Melbourne that year. Well for part of the year at least.

So Dad must have thought we're getting hammered, early start for work so I'm going to bed. Next day was when had his heart attack and passed at aged 55. I've never forgotten what he said about Redders.

PS All out for 100. Redders made 19

G Chappell CB 1, Stumpy Laird LBW 1 and I Chappell LBW 1. When Hooksey was bowled we were 4/16 and Redders came in.

On Dec 4th 1978 Aus played the World XI at the SCG. The World XI made 163 and we were 3/5 in reply after Garth LeRoux ripped through the top order - the blond bombshell burst onto the scene and no one had ever heard of him because of SA not playing at the time.

and Redders was batting and Dad got up to go to bed and said then he was one of the greatest batsman he had ever seen and said goodnight. I've looked up CricInfo website which has every score card known to man in their Stats section.

so he could concentrate on his antique business in Geelong but he made a comeback when World Series Cricket started. So Dec 1978 we were watching a day/nighter at home (which was very exciting because 50 over cricket esp at night was a new concept back then )

You young blokes probably have never heard of Ian Redpath but I thought I'd share this with you. The last thing Grandpa Len ever said to me was that Ian Redpath was one of the greatest batsman he had seen. Redders retired before the 1975 tour of England

This Labor Government has been so disappointing on many matters. I fear this will turn away voters and yet the LNP alternative is a far worse option. Dare I say a minority Labor Government where the independents have enough sway to make a difference is our best hope for the future.
