This happens all the time in the SF South Bay Area and Tesla's in AP and cars with limo tint on all windows are some of the worst offenders. (I have stories) If only there were some king of superhero reporter to report on these type of automotive misgivings!

In the US we had a "special edition" of the Datsun B-210 called The Honey Bee. Basically just a stripe along the bottom of the door for the most part
