Ex X, with same name. Still on X for the moment.
It was weired seeing them in Glasgow in the late 80's-early 90's when Kelvin Scottish and Stagecosch (Magic Bus) operated them having bought them from London Transport. Theres still several running round Edinburgh as various tour buses.

So that doesn't happen in England? Your beloved Labour is going to do away with ROSCO's down there? Of course not. Why not campaign in England to match Scotland rather than moan about whats been achieved already. Any sign of freight or the open access companies being brought under government control

So nobody ever throws stones off motorway bridges or the tops of carparks at passing cars. The slip stream from trackside? Hows that diffeent from slip stream from a passing lorry? The photo is the former, smashed several windows and hit a bus, taken 3 weeks ago.

Why would the windscreens get smashed any more than driving it on the road?

Every driver has to be specificaly trained on the traction he/she is driving. The traction they can drive is on the back of their license so is easily checked. Given there is only a couple of these, there will only be a few passed on them.

No TOC does so its irrelevant in the fact Scotrail have better than most companies, indeed, the figures for Scotland are being pull down by the likes of LNER, TPE and Lumo.

Back in my youth, cleared 44's, most 45's and most 46's sitting on the wall at the loading bay in Chesterfield yard. "God not another" was a common phrase, yet now will do anything to see one. Changed times indeed.

Might be wrong on the one in the photo, but the teak coach was quite badly damaged, have a feeling they never used it again.
September 21, 2025 at 9:23 AM
I'm sure the second last coach got damaged at Oban once with a rough shunt. The LNER teak coach they had was pushed through the buffers at Millerhill, but I'm sure the other was damaged. One of the reasons they went for all their own coaches.

Douglas Alexander has been made Scottish Secretary after Ian Murray was sacked. The man who has done more for Labour in Scotland this century in returning Labour MP's replaced by somebody who was one of the major culprits in the 2009 expenses scandal. Who's licking who's arse.

Blood and Custard coaches.
September 6, 2025 at 10:27 AM
FFS, she's scammed the British tax payer, and you still support Labour.

Currently doing route learning trips between Edinburgh Waverley and Glasgow Queen St via Falkirk, beleived to be Lumo drivers ready for the extension of some services from Edinburgh to Glasgow Queen Street on December.

The fact the car would have fitted either side of the bollard is what makes this funny.
September 3, 2025 at 8:21 PM
Why does that surprise you? Ellon Musks grandfather on his mums side was a SA politician who was one of the main proponents of Apartheid. Musk also led the call for afrikans farmers to be allowed into the USA as he claimed the indigineous black people were stealing their land back.

If ASLEF secured this, does that mean you will supporting the SNP in 2026 or will you still be supporting Labour. Wonder how big a pay rise you would have got from Labour this year and with what conditions attached.

It also depends on how old your contract is. Some early roll over contracts included it and still do die to their age.

Most , EE, Vodaphone etc do not include roaming, you can buy more expensive packages that do include it. They used to be included in the ordinary packages but EE for example, its £2.50 per day or you can buy a 12 day pass. You used to be able to get a 1mth add on but not anymore.
August 29, 2025 at 10:51 AM
Before Brexit you could use your mobile abroad at no extra charge, post brexit you have to pay extra although o2 don't charge you extra but their plans are more expensive to start with. Thats called roaming.
August 29, 2025 at 9:01 AM
Scotland didn't, we voted 65% to remain nut got dragged out by England due to the so called United Kingdom.
August 29, 2025 at 8:39 AM
Can't help but feel that is the companies trying ti cash in though. V02 include roaming annd just this very day, been offered an interesting deal from EE as a customer to include roaming. Pity EE don't make there mobiles work in Falkirk, which is why I'm looking around.
August 28, 2025 at 4:52 PM
If its not doing us much good in the long term, energyvprices for example why should we pay more when we provide England with its energy.
August 28, 2025 at 4:11 PM
Do they realy though. If there given chance to work and pay into the system do they realy? Can you demonstrate were this is proven. If you don't like the Scotland you have your free to move elsewhere in the UK. In the EU, you could have moved to a whole host of different places.
August 28, 2025 at 4:09 PM
And border checks mean people can't work around europe and the most you can stay in Europe is 90 days. The UK is an isolated island that Farage help created.
August 28, 2025 at 4:03 PM
When we were in the EU, we got EU money to help on building roads, for example, small scale fishermen could sell their stuff, mostly to France, we had easy travel and no border restrictions. Now yoons moan about the A9, Cadburys and Nestle import chocolate from Australia, fish markets are gone....
