It’s obvious like more complex than that (as I’m sure you understand). Like the fooling the people thing comes from the fascist idea that there a few stong people (ex übermensch for nazis) and the rest of the people are cows that needed to be herded. It’s from the nazi’s perversion of Nietzsche

Ive been hesitant to call trump a fascist. I feel like most people who throw that word around in political discussions just use it as an insult and not an actual label. But its stuff like this that make me confident in saying trump is a fascist

I mean the whole point of an embargo is to be destabilizing. The idea is that when tensions rise to a point that violence seems inevitable, it’s better to starve the people/deprive them of healthcare than to ramp up bombing campaigns or at least risk your own troops. It’s supposedly “more ethical”
