It’s getting really hard to follow my self-imposed rule of not engaging in political talk at work. At least a few of them are *starting* to come around? Maybe? If not joining my tribe, at least starting to see that the leadership of theirs is rotten?

No. You make money as a reward for doing something with purpose. Like running a hotel, or running a restaurant, or selling products.

You forget what you're in the business to do and you'll fail.

Note: it’s actually a hoshinsul class, which is a separate martial art from taekwondo, which focuses on self-defense. But since it’s at a taekwondo dojang, they’re both Korean and my kid and wife take taekwondo classes there, I’ll probably just keep referring to it as taekwondo for ease of clarity.

This is not only cowardice, it’s so blatantly, so clearly excessive force. State and local cops would get fired, arrested and sued for doing this. I cannot wait for the day when criminal and civil accountability hits these mfers like an unjustified blast of pepper spray to their eyes.

And when you arrest them, you take them for a jail clearance at the hospital, and book them for an actual crime that you had probable cause to make an arrest for. Then you document the incident in a report, with your name on it. You articulate what your arrestee did that justified your use of force.
