There’s tonnes of academic evidence showing that rent controls are fundamentally bad. There’s a great Krugman article now 20 yrs old explaining the simplicity of why they lock out new renters, lead to a reduction in volume and quality of rental properties etc.

I saw Sleeper as my first gig after lockdown and loved it. I went tonight for the first night of the new tour and they are very much one of the greatest bands from Britpop. They have a great set of songs. And Louise Wener was in great voice .

Finally got to the end of the “1001 albums to listen to before you die” daily album generator. One a day for the last 1090 days (all the albums from each edition so a few more). It’s been my daily habit for nearly three years. Luckily there are now 320 albums recommended by fellow completors
