Hahaha just a bit! Utterly manic couple of hours. It's why I got so quick at Twitter 😃

A win, win, win 😃

It really would be such a stress-reducer for any family in your position to know you still have power and don't need to find some quickly. That's honestly a bonus I hadn't considered at depth before. People always just mention financial and climate/Earth cost.

Well that definitely seems prudent and sensible! I'm not sure how my neighbour has theirs wired up, and it's 15-20 years old, but I don't think they have much battery storage because they didn't mention it during Storm Eowyn and were also on candles, twinkly battery lights and log fires.

Oh nice! This is something we hope to achieve in about 5 years. One of our neighbours has them and with the offsetting her electricity bill is only about £15 a month.

It's lovely to see you too! Each time I spot you, it's a little moment of familiarity and homeliness 😃

Awww, I used to do Twitter parties and I loved those. Giving away exciting toys 😃 and fruit.

I think it has the potential, and curating your feeds definitely does help, but people generally interact less on social media now - there's a lot of 'watch 30 second video, click like, move on'. It's harder to get a chat going, almost impossible for it to gain traction like on Twitter.

This was 12 years ago. No regrets. Haven't broken a toe since. (Probably tempting fate saying that).
Straighten it, or straighten it later.

My sticky out toe was not meant to be. It stuck out, and barefoot I hit it often. Had a particularly nasty one against the kitchen door and knew it was broken and this was my chance. Got tape, gritted teeth, taped it straight. 6 weeks later and I have the perfect foot, and can wear boots.

I broke my toe like that! My OH had meningitis at the time, so it was the least of my worries. Popped on flip flops and carried on. Winter came.and I couldn't get in shoes or boots. Nothing. I was still in flip flops. Fortunately nature is on hand to solve things...

Seems a little negative. Have they tried mindfulness?
