He's decent in hand-to-hand combat but he prefers using it his Bonk Bat! And he won't carry around shotguns. They'll slow him down. that's why he carries The Shortstop. Octolad actually hates Bonk. The aftereffects make him sick. He carries it around in case for emergency.
