Thankfully you’ve described almost all of the “Android” based e-ink tablets. That’s the key. It’s gotta have access to the Google play store.

I can’t blame you. If it works keep using it until it doesn’t IMHO. I bet your Voyage is still in pristine condition too.

There is definitely a measurable difference in speed between the older paperwhite and the newer models. However, after testing a Boox Palma 2, with the kindle and kobo apps, I can affirm there is little reason to get another kindle. Alternatives are plentiful.

This is political theater. They said they would preemptively black out Sunday; they did it early. Nothing has actually happened or been enforced yet. Just a few words of “intent” were given that a “attempt” to save the platform would happen in the near future. Political speak is like legalese.

Agreed. I’m suddenly looking at alternatives I previously researched that were not so “plug and play” because of this. I know I want core-XY and OrcaSlice compatibility.
